Overview:

The Law of closure explains the phenomenon of how the human mind perceives incomplete shapes/things. This law is the part of Gestalt principles, proximity, similarity, figure-ground, continuity, closure, and connection, which describe how humans perceive visuals in connection with different objects and environments. He believed that humans tend to perceive objects as complete rather than focusing on the gaps that the object might contain.

Law of Closure:

Law of Closure helps us perceive objects like groups and creates a connection between objects. We tend to make sense of our environment by filling in the gaps to see a complete object, this can be used to create meaningful user experiences. Closure is playing with the negative space in a creative and organized way to create interesting layouts and use the human minds to deliver new ideas and images instead of what is actually seen. This creates an interactive feeling and helps form a connection with the content.

Take away:

Thus in a way law of closure states that we find connections and convert complex shapes to simpler ones. This helps create a well-defined user experience or visual design using connections and negative spaces. The ability to perceive things as a group helps create precise toolkit.
